In September 2017, Tim Cowden, president & CEO at the Kansas City Area Development Council, approached Initiatives to help design a regional Kansas City response for the Amazon HQ2 RFP.  Kansas City was not selected by Amazon for its second headquarters, however, innovative resources were uncovered, and new strategies were created, positioning the region for future prospective companies.

In September 2017, Tim Cowden, president & CEO at the Kansas City Area Development Council, approached Initiatives to help his team design a regional Kansas City response for the Amazon HQ2 RFP.  Initiatives helped strategize and implement key components put forth by the bidding team as part of the strategy to attract Amazon to the KC region.
Even though Kansas City was not selected by Amazon for its second headquarters, innovative resources were uncovered, and new strategies were created, positioning the region in a stronger light for future prospective companies looking to locate to KC.  These discoveries, in part, continue to be used by the KCADC as part of their overall strategy to attract companies to the KC region.
